In Togo, political unrest continues to escalate as seven opposition parties and civil society organizations have thrown their support behind a nationwide youth protest set for June 26 to 28, 2025.
The planned demonstrations come in response to mounting grievances over the recently adopted constitution and growing concerns about human rights violations. At a press conference held in Lomé on Tuesday, the coalition emphasized their shared frustration with the current state of governance.
Youth organizers say the protest aims to pressure the government for accountability and reforms, particularly as socio-political tensions deepen across the country.
