As the Senegalese populace anticipates a rescheduled date for the presidential election, originally set for February 25, President Macky Sall has introduced a general amnesty bill related to incidents stemming from protests between 2021 and 2024.

President Sall disclosed this amnesty proposal during the political dialogue he initiated over two days with various political figures to determine a new date for the 2024 presidential election.
