More than 400 migrants were intercepted at two separate times and locations on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

The Directorate of Public Relations of The Senegalese Armed Forces said on X that those intercepted are of different nationalities.

Authorities in Senegal have lately seized people onboard canoes on the country’s territorial waters en route to Europe but Monday’s is the highest single arrest of migrants.
