While delivering his Eid Al Adha message Monday, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye said that his government is working to promote a climate of peace and harmony in the country.

According to him, it is this spirit that inspires the approach of the new authorities in achieving the objectives they have set for themselves.

The Senegalese head of state added that whatever the occasion, the reforms must take place, adding that his government will continue to create opportunities open discussions to allow for all voices to be heard in order to ensure the reform’s objectives are achieved.

President Faye also welcomed the production of the first barrel of oil and paid tribute to all those who contributed to this achievement.  

Bassirou Diomaye Faye promised to safeguard these resources for the benefit of the Senegalese people.
