In Senegal, the World Food Program (WFP) and the Senegalese Nutrition and Food Association (ANAS) convened a symposium on Wednesday to address food system challenges in the region.
Under the theme “Transformation of Food Systems through the Promotion of Healthy and Nutritious Food Based on Local Products,” the event gathered nutrition experts, local producers, and sustainability advocates in Dakar.
The forum emphasized leveraging local agricultural investments to produce healthier and more nutritious food, aiming to enhance regional food security and consumer well-being.
