The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a groundbreaking report addressing cybersecurity challenges in West and Central Africa.

The report, titled “Building Cybersecurity in West and Central Africa”, highlights the vulnerabilities in critical sectors such as governance, banking, stock markets, and climate change regulation, underscoring the growing threat of cyberattacks in the region.

This assessment, conducted in partnership with the Give1Project and Concordia University, Canada, offers an in-depth analysis of the current cybersecurity landscape and provides actionable recommendations to bolster regional defenses.

The official launch, held virtually on Thursday, November 21, 2024, marks a pivotal step in fostering collaboration among nations to tackle this pressing issue and safeguard critical infrastructures from escalating cyber threats.
