Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has announced the withdrawal of all foreign military forces, including French troops, by 2025. In his national address, President Faye also reaffirmed his dedication to achieving lasting peace in Casamance, a region in southern Senegal with a history of conflict. These moves underline the government’s commitment to sovereignty and national unity.
