Senegalese citizens will go to the polls in two months to participate in new legislative elections.
This was after the National Assembly was dissolved Thursday night by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
This comes in the context of a political standoff in parliament between the new government and the former presidential coalition, which still holds a majority.
The former coalition recently blocked a bill proposed by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
