A Senegalese tech entrepreneur has launched a new digital logistics platform designed to streamline trade for merchants across Africa. The platform, known as SAWA Logistics, was unveiled on Thursday in Dakar and aims to make cross-border shipping easier, safer, and more reliable for traders.
Founder Racine Sarr announced that SAWA Logistics will connect global retailers with African importers, enabling users to ship goods confidently from within the continent and beyond. The platform targets two million direct users, including SMEs, online shoppers, and logistics professionals.
With Senegal’s e-commerce and SME sectors expanding rapidly, SAWA Logistics positions itself as a timely solution to long-standing challenges in shipment tracking, delivery delays, and trade integration. Sarr says the platform will help strengthen Africa’s digital economy while empowering traders to compete globally.
