The Senegalese Constitutional Council sponsorship rectification process came to an end on Tuesday.

Several candidates admitted to the second round were able to regularize with new sponsors.

Some front-runner candidates who were expected to make the final list were rejected, for failing to fill the gap.

However, two dozen candidates, including two women, have validated their sponsorships, pending publication of the final list at the end of the week.
