In Senegal, the government is intensifying efforts to hold public officials accountable, as several former ministers from the previous administration could face prosecution once more.
Reports from the Senegalese press indicate that the National Assembly has launched impeachment proceedings against two former ministers who served under President Macky Sall.
This move aligns with the transparency and accountability agenda of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, signaling a renewed commitment to tackling alleged mismanagement and corruption in past administrations.
