Joining Forces, an alliance of the 6 largest child-focused international NGOs is collaborating with the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund, UNICEF to aid the advancement of the global child rights agenda by 2030.
The initiative themed “Engagement of Presidential Candidates for Children” was jointly launched in Dakar by Child-Fund Alliance, Plan International, Save the Children, SOS Children’s Villages International and World Vision.
Launched ahead of the February 25 elections, the project seeks to promote and protect children’s rights in the country.
Silvia Danailov, UNICEF’s Country Representative in Senegal therefore calls on candidates to take into account appropriate child protection strategies and implement legislative reforms for effective realization.
