The 33 Days to Revitalize Vaccination in Africa campaign has concluded in Dakar, Senegal, with a Grand Finale held from November 19–20, 2024.
The campaign, which began on October 24, was spearheaded by Niyel, an international advocacy and public affairs organization, in partnership with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from six African countries: Senegal, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination and its critical role in safeguarding public health, especially in African countries where vaccination coverage faces challenges.
According to reports by Oge Obierika, the campaign highlighted strategies for improving vaccine access and uptake to combat preventable diseases across the continent.
