Violent clashes erupted over the weekend between the Malian army, supported by Russian auxiliaries, and the armed groups of the Permanent Strategic Framework.
The fighting took place in Tinzawaten, a locality situated over 230 kilometers from Kidal in northern Mali, near the Algerian border.
Multiple deaths have been reported, but it remains unclear who currently controls the city. Both sides claim to have driven out the other.
