In the lead-up to the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), a preparatory meeting of senior officials from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger was held yesterday in Niamey, the capital of Niger, to discuss the draft proposal for the establishment of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
