In Nigeria, demolitions at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex have left hundreds of traders counting their losses and sparked strong criticism from rights groups.

The exercise, led by the Lagos State Government, is raising concerns not only about livelihoods but also about regional trade across West Africa, as traders say the complex has long served as a gateway for regional commerce, linking markets from Cotonou to Accra, hence, the destruction will disrupt supply chains across West Africa.

WADR’s Usman Umar reports from Abuja.
