The removal of Ghana’s Majority Parliamentary leader has been criticised by concerned citizens, governance and parliamentary experts as well as institutions who called the process a ‘push out’.
The African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs is not sparing its voice on the matter as the head of the organization Dr Rasheed Draman register their concern.
Recall, that Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu resigned after a meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo about changes to the Parliament’s leadership.
Speaking with WADR, Draman draws parallels to the opposition National Democratic Congress’s previous shake-up of its parliamentary leadership and suggests potential lessons were not learned.
