President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has reaffirmed his dedication to maintaining peace, security, and stability in Sierra Leone.
His comments came during a meeting with a delegation from the Michigan State National Guard, which was accompanied by the United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone and the Deputy Minister of Defense, Col (Rtd) Muana Brima Massaquoi.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to President Bio, noting that their visit was aimed at finalizing a State Partnership Programme between Sierra Leone and the Michigan State National Guard to foster a lasting collaboration between the two institutions.
Massaquoi highlighted that this initiative, which began under his predecessor in 2019, has now reached a significant milestone with the signing of a letter of consent.
