In Nigeria, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has dismissed speculation about forming a political coalition ahead of the 2027 elections.
Obi stated that the only coalition he supports is one against hunger, poverty, poor healthcare, and inadequate education.
He ruled out any agreement to run as a vice-presidential candidate, describing such claims as selfish political games. Obi criticized the government’s failure to provide free, quality basic education, which he says has forced churches to shoulder the responsibility.
