Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has confirmed that more than 600,000 candidates are sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) nationwide.
During a monitoring tour on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized that the exams are not merely a memory test but an assessment of students’ overall potential and character.
He assured that the Ministry is working to address infrastructure challenges to ensure students write the exams under better conditions.
