In Nigeria, a catastrophic flood has claimed over 60 lives in Mokwa town, Niger State, with more than 10 people still unaccounted for.

The tragedy unfolded after intense rainfall on Wednesday evening triggered flash floods that swept through communities, destroying over 50 homes.
