In Liberia, the fate of over 40,000 civil servants now hangs in the balance due to the illegal manner in which they were recruited by the last administration of George Weah.
More than 67,746 public sector workers are currently on the payroll, spread across 103 spending entities, a situation the new administration described as a burden on the state.
