In Mali, more than 20,500 people have been affected by floods across several regions, according to the Interministerial Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management.
As of October 2, authorities recorded 44 flooding incidents, 10 lightning strikes, and 4 cases of violent winds nationwide.
Colonel Issa Raoul Dana Dabo, Director of the Crisis Coordination and Management Center, said 1,237 houses have collapsed, leaving many families displaced and in urgent need of assistance.
