The security situation in Mali’s Bandiagara region is getting increasingly worrying.

This is because more than 20 people, all farmers, were killed over the weekend by unidentified armed men in the village of Dembo in the Bankass circle.

Fear has set in, forcing residents to flee the locality in the center of the country.

They are now demanding more security from the army in the area which is now plagued by attacks by armed groups.
