Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko is in Conakry, for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Senegal and Guinea.

Sonko, who arrived in Conakry on Sunday, June 1, was welcomed with full civil and military honors by his Guinean counterpart, Ahmadou Oury Bah, along with other government officials, diplomats, and dignitaries.

The visit underscores the long-standing ties between the two neighboring nations.

The agenda includes a private meeting between the two Prime Ministers on Monday, June 2, followed by discussions with their respective delegations. Key topics will include economic collaboration, security, and cultural exchange.

Prime Minister Sonko is also scheduled to meet with President Mamadi Doumbouya at the Mohamed V Palace. The visit will conclude with a joint press briefing at the Palais de la Colombe, where both governments are expected to reaffirm their commitment to deepening ties and outline the outcomes of their discussions.
