The Gambia River Basin Development Organisation (OMVG) has unveiled an ambitious Integrated Development Master Plan aimed at transforming the shared river basins of Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea.
The plan outlines 179 multi-sector projects focused on energy, agriculture, environment, transport, and governance. It seeks to enhance food security, improve regional infrastructure, and promote sustainable development across the four countries.
By strengthening cross-border cooperation, the initiative is expected to deepen economic ties and ensure better management of shared natural resources.
