The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has secured a $1.4 million grant from the Government of Norway to boost food security in Nigeria’s conflict-affected North-East.
During the signing ceremony in Abuja, FAO’s Representative in Nigeria and ECOWAS, Dominique Kouacou, expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing its timely impact. The funds will help scale up agricultural assistance in Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, and Yobe states.
The initiative aims not only to boost food production but also to improve climate resilience, giving vulnerable communities the means to rebuild and thrive.
