Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, representing President Bola Tinubu at the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit.
At the high-level gathering, African leaders are deliberating on pressing continental priorities, including water security, sanitation, and regional stability. The summit provides a platform for member states to review progress and strengthen cooperation on shared development goals.
This year’s theme, “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063,” places renewed focus on addressing water challenges as a foundation for long-term growth and resilience across the continent.
