Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has reaffirmed the military’s commitment to securing the nation amid renewed violence in Plateau and Taraba states.
Over the past 48 hours, attacks in Bokkos, Mangu, and Bali LGAs have left communities reeling. Thirteen people—mostly children and the elderly—were killed in Plateau, while over sixty homes were torched in Taraba following a dispute over water.
Speaking at a media briefing on Friday, General Musa assured Nigerians that security forces are intensifying operations to confront these threats and restore peace in the affected areas.
