Today, we shine the spotlight on Busola Shogbamimu, a trailblazer, accomplished academic, and an inspiration for young African women. She is a human rights consultant, advocate for senior citizens, and founder of Naija Seniors, an organization dedicated to promoting the rights and welfare of older adults in Nigeria.
With more than two decades of experience across multiple sectors in Europe, Shogbamimu has built a multifaceted career that bridges activism, consultancy, and community engagement. She is a certified human rights consultant with the United States Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights.
Her advocacy focuses on ensuring Nigeria’s elderly population is included in societal development, with access to essential resources and support. This commitment is further reflected in her role as a coach and expert in aging, as well as her involvement with MASC Care Home, which provides residential care for seniors.
Busola Shogbamimu stands out as our Woman of the Day — a voice for dignity, inclusion, and the rights of the elderly in Nigeria.
