Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Northeast Nigeria have stepped up military operations against insurgent groups, killing at least twenty fighters in a week-long offensive.
The crackdown also resulted in the arrest of several collaborators accused of providing logistics and intelligence support to the armed groups.
Military officials say the operation aims to cut off insurgents’ supply lines and disrupt their movements across key locations in the region.
Authorities have vowed to maintain pressure on the armed groups to restore peace and security in the Northeast.
