Displaced persons from nine communities in Niger State’s Shiroro Local Government Area are urging immediate support to address the disruption in their children’s education caused by violent attacks.
The crisis, which began with deadly assaults over a year ago and worsened by the closure of a military base in Allawa, has forced families to seek refuge in public buildings in safer towns like Erana and Kuta. While food, healthcare, and shelter remain priorities, many fear the long-term impact of interrupted education on displaced children.
