Nigeria has restated its commitment to the global ban on nuclear weapons testing, reinforcing its stance on international peace and security.
Vice President Kashim Shettima made the pledge during a meeting with officials from the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), emphasizing Nigeria’s dedication to disarmament and non-proliferation.
He noted that the country will continue to collaborate with global partners to strengthen the enforcement of the treaty and promote a safer world.
Nigeria ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty in 2001 and remains a key advocate for a nuclear-free world.
