Protests have erupted in parts of Nigeria as residents express anger over recent increases in electricity tariffs.
Demonstrations were reported in Abuja, Makurdi in Benue State, and other areas, with citizens taking to the streets to voice their frustration.
Despite being moved to higher billing bands, consumers say they continue to experience persistent power outages, leaving homes and small businesses in darkness.
WADR’s Abuja correspondent, Usman Umar, reports that protesters are demanding either a reversal of the tariff hike or a marked improvement in electricity supply.
