Allegations of financial impropriety continue to provoke widespread outrage as the Nigerian Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, is accused of instructing the Accountant-General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, to transfer 585 Million Naira (about 600,000 USD) to an individual’s bank account.

The leaked letter, dated December 20, 2023, details Edu’s directive to transfer the funds to one Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola’s private account against financial regulation.
