More than forty Nigerian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are urging President Tinubu to declare a state of emergency for security in the country.
According to these organizations, between May 2023, when President Tinubu assumed office, and January 2024, at least 2,423 people have lost their lives in mass atrocities, and approximately 1,872 individuals have been reported abducted.
