In Nigeria, over 200 people have reportedly been killed in violent clashes between Boko Haram fighters and members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

The deadly confrontation took place on Sunday in Dogon Chiku, located in the Lake Chad Basin, according to multiple sources, including repentant insurgents. The groups are said to have engaged in fierce battles over territorial and ideological disputes.

Security experts describe the incident as one of the deadliest internal conflicts between the two rival factions in recent years. The Nigerian Defence Headquarters has yet to issue an official statement confirming the development.
