In Nigeria, a major fuel supply crisis has been averted after oil workers suspended their two-day strike.

The decision came following a breakthrough agreement with the Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil processing facility, over unionisation rights.

The strike had raised fears of widespread disruptions in the fuel supply chain, but the deal is now seen as a key step toward stabilising labor relations in the sector.
