The Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress has disrupted operations at the Abuja Metro Station over disagreements on a new national minimum wage and hike in electricity tariffs

President Bola Tinubu, as part of efforts to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the residents of the nation’s capital, directed the train services to run for free for six months, during the commission of the commercial operations of the Metro line last week.

In this report, WADR’s Abuja Correspondent, Usman Umar, pays a visit to the train station on the first day of the indefinite strike and details the sorry state of affairs at the facility.
