Nigeria joined the rest of the world to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse with a powerful youth-led awareness campaign in Abuja.
The event, spearheaded by We The Youth Organisation, highlighted the growing crisis of substance abuse, particularly among young people in West Africa.
Participants called for stronger prevention efforts, rehabilitation programmes, and government-backed policy interventions to curb the rising trend.
As addiction continues to destroy lives silently, campaigners insist it’s time for a united, regional response to tackle this public health emergency.
