Nigeria has rolled out one of its largest-ever vaccination campaigns, targeting over 100 million children for immunization against measles, rubella, and polio.
The nationwide exercise aims to curb the spread of preventable childhood diseases and strengthen public health systems across West and Central Africa.
Supported by global health partners including WHO, UNICEF, Gavi, Rotary International, and the Africa CDC, the campaign underscores Nigeria’s renewed commitment to advancing universal health coverage.
Health officials say the initiative will also reinforce disease surveillance and improve routine immunization delivery nationwide.
