Reports from northeastern Nigeria indicate that insurgents have carried out another deadly attack in Borno State.
In the early hours of Wednesday, armed fighters stormed a community in the Gwoza Local Government Area, killing several residents and setting homes ablaze. The raid triggered panic among villagers as the attackers moved through the area.
While the exact number of casualties remains unclear, residents say more than 300 people were abducted during the assault.
The attack highlights the persistent security challenges facing communities in Nigeria’s northeast, where insurgent groups continue to carry out violent raids despite ongoing military operations.
