President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the release of 38 worshippers abducted in Kwara State and the escape of 51 schoolgirls previously kidnapped in Niger State. He described the developments as positive signs in the country’s ongoing fight against insecurity.
In a message shared on his official X account, President Tinubu noted that he is closely monitoring both situations and receiving continuous updates from security agencies. He reaffirmed that safeguarding citizens remains a central priority of his administration.
Security officials are expected to intensify operations in affected communities as investigations continue into the kidnappings. Authorities say efforts are underway to track remaining suspects and dismantle the networks responsible.
The government has urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to strengthen national security efforts.
