Nigeria’s former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over an alleged N8.7 billion money laundering case.
Malami appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja alongside his wife and son, facing multiple financial crime charges brought by the anti-graft agency.
He pleaded not guilty to all counts during the court session.
The court subsequently ordered that Malami be remanded in custody pending the hearing and determination of his bail application.
