In Nigeria, fresh concerns are being raised over the preparedness of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct free, fair and transparent elections next year.

The doubts follow recent assurances from the electoral body about its readiness for the polls.

On Monday, the INEC chairperson sparked debate on social media and in mainstream circles after stating that the election may not be 100 per cent perfect.
