The Nigerian Army has commenced an investigation into claims of sexual harassment and assault made against its officers.

Urging the public to refrain from drawing premature conclusions until all the facts have been ascertained.

The Army has committed to taking appropriate action in response to the investigation’s findings.

This inquiry was prompted by the widespread circulation of a video featuring Ruth Ogunleye, a female soldier, accusing three high-ranking officers of harassment, intimidation, and life-threatening threats.
