The government of Niger has confirmed the integration of hundreds of former terrorist fighters and rebel group members into the national army.
According to the Interior Ministry, a total of 369 individuals who surrendered to the ruling military have completed a deradicalization and social reintegration program.
The program, which spanned several months, was designed to rehabilitate and reintegrate former combatants into society through education, counseling, and skills training.
Authorities say the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote peace, stability, and national reconciliation across the country.
