Civil Society Organizations and state actors in Niger, have expressed support for the military government’s decision to negotiate military agreements with international partners, having requested for the departure of French soldiers from its territory.

All countries with military bases in Niamey, including the United States, Germany, and Italy, have been informed of this decision, which has been positively received in the capital, Niamey.
