Nigeria’s political landscape is shifting as prominent opposition figures join forces under a new banner — the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) — to challenge the ruling APC in the 2027 elections.
The coalition, which has applied for registration with the electoral body INEC, boasts heavyweight members including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President David Mark, and former ministers Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El Rufai.
ADA’s leaders have outlined a clear manifesto and ideology, signaling a unified front to reclaim political power. Political analyst Austin Aigbe notes that the coalition’s success will hinge on its internal cohesion and strategy amid Nigeria’s evolving political dynamics.
