In Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, officials from the Manu River Union (MRU) are holding a four-day conference aimed at enhancing regional maritime and land boundary security.
The talks bring together delegates from Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Côte d’Ivoire, with support from the German government through GIZ. Discussions center on forming a joint technical commission to address longstanding border issues and strengthen maritime surveillance.
The meeting highlights growing regional cooperation to tackle shared security challenges, with a focus on peaceful boundary management and safe maritime navigation.
